I’ve been very busy supporting, organizing and promoting author events this month. A project I’m very excited about is The Shamrock and Peach, a cookbook by Judith McLoughlin. It’s a culinary fusion of traditional Northern Ireland and the American South. Last week we attended a promotional event at the Commerce Club in Atlanta sponsored by Tourism Ireland. It was another great opportunity to spread the word about The Shamrock and Peach. I’ll be heading to DC for The Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show the first weekend in November to promote as well.
Ambassador International has a great children’s book in stores now. The Christmas Donkey
was written about Drupelet, a real-life donkey living on the Mountain View Berry Farm in Landrum, South Carolina. Author Donna Thornton and illustrator Lynne Pryor did a wonderful job bringing the animals to life and this past weekend they held a “Meet the Animals” event on the farm. They’ve got lots of upcoming events including a children’s painting class at Vino & VanGogh in Greenville. Every child that signs up will get a free copy of The Christmas Donkey and an opportunity to paint the cover image from the book! Donna will appear on Your Carolina December 2 and they’ll also be at Mast General on December 4 from 12-4 for a big signing event!
And finally I want to mention that Jessica Mast will be signing copies of The Call of a Caregiver this Saturday at the Barnes and Noble on Woodruff Road from 1-3. I’m so proud of all of the hard work these authors are putting in to make their projects a success.
