Believe it or not there are bright sides to the recession. For author Mimi Keener, the economic downturn pushed her to write the book she’s been dreaming of for three decades. Mimi got laid off and decided to write The Best of Friends, a children’s book about growing up in Iowa. She’s planning a week-long Iowa tour and I’ve been coordinating radio, TV and print interviews. This week she was interviewed by a Des Moines Register and I’ve got a couple of others lined up for while she is there. It’s been fun dealing with media contacts in my home state and I’m hoping Mimi’s book launch tour is a huge success!
