In March 2011 it was actually my house that appeared on The Today Show. I thought that was the thrill of a lifetime until July when producers flew me to New York to appear on the show for a totally different reason. In July I was asked to be on The Today Show to talk about my business The Traveling Journal, an online retail store inspired from a tradition I’ve kept with four long distance friends for more than a decade. Many people ask me how I was able to get on The Today Show, how it impacted my business and what the experience was like in general.

In June my friends and I were featured in The Wall Street Journal and a producer from The Today Show saw that article. They thought we’d make great guests and invited us to come on the show three weeks later. It was a wonderful experience and The Today Show team was great. At the end of the segment we were able to give Hoda and Kathie Lee Jessica Journals from our online store. They loved them and we got a great on-air endorsement from Hoda! I will never forget this wonderful experience and I’m thankful for the opportunity to be able to share our friendship story with the world.
